The Gollatz Cotillion

The Gollatz Cotillion provides this unique opportunity to learn and practice social etiquette and manners in a fun party atmosphere.

The Cotillion instruction is offered to children in grades third through eighth. A student that attends the Gollatz Cotillion will be taught in a fun, safe environment: social etiquette, dining etiquette and dance. The dances instructed are the traditional ballroom dances (waltz, fox-trot, and cha-cha) and contemporary dances such as (swing, line-dancing, etc). A few of the many manners that will be instructed include: the art of the conversation, eye-contact, body language, the hand shake (business/ personal) giving and receiving the toast, the place setting and much, much more ......skills such as these prepare a child for success.

Each year the content is reviewed and revised to make certain the quality of instruction is the very best and most up to date. Fun instruction generally includes:

  • telephone manners / cell phone, texting and Face book etiquette
  • Table and dining manners
  • How to dress to impress
  • Posture, sitting and standing / Positive body language
  • Being invited to a party and how to be a terrific guest
  • How to tie a necktie and how to give a toast
  • and much, more......

Our belief :

  1. All children are invited to the Gollatz Cotillion.
  2. The class size will benefit your child. a smaller class size tends to your child's needs and development, an overcrowded room minimizes the attention you and your child deserves.
  3. Dancing is certainly a fun portion of the Gollatz Cotillion program however,at the Gollatz Cotillion our core focus is the instruction of dining etiquette and social manners.  Personally, we feel these skills are more beneficial and lasts a lifetime.
